Puerto Rico welcomes over four million visitors each year, yet safety perceptions vary sharply between regions. Prime Source gathered crime statistics, tourism board reports, and traveler feedback to map out a clear picture of municipal safety, focusing on the period from 2022‑2023.
The analysis identified three cities—San Juan’s Condado district, Dorado, and Rincón—that repeatedly scored high on low violent‑crime rates, strong police presence, and positive visitor reviews. These locations formed the basis of our case study, allowing us to trace how specific factors translate into a safer tourist experience.
